Wang Min, Vice Minister of the Ministry of land and resources, revealed at the UNESCO International Hydrological plan Asia Pacific groundwater management consulting seminar held in Shijiazhuang recently that China will establish more than 20000 national groundwater monitoring holes nationwide to realize the dynamic monitoring of groundwater in key areas

Wang Min said that groundwater is an important part of water resources for human survival, which is of great significance for ensuring the safety of water supply and maintaining the ecological environment. China's groundwater resources account for one third of the country's total water resources

it is reported that at present, the development and utilization of groundwater in China is nearly 110billion cubic meters per year.
